It’s nearly July 1st. We have nearly reached the half mark of 2014. So it’s a good time to evaluate.
[Tweet ” How are you measuring your success this year?”]
Is it based on who the world thinks you are?
- Your title
- Your net worth
- The number of awards on your shelf
- The neighborhood you live in
- Where you went to school
- Your nationality
- Or how the world values the efforts of your children or your spouse?
Or on the things you possess?
- The kind of car you drive
- The number of name brands you wear
- How many of the latest gadgets you own
Is it measured by lives?
- Who you know
- How many people you served today
- The employee you encouraged today
- The memories you made with your spouse and children today
Or by the choices you made today?
- To say yes a to a change
- To speak up for someone being bullied
- To speak truth in a place filled with lies
- To show kindness to a stranger
- To do something that refreshes your spirit.
Is it based on a goal you are working towards?
- Your dedication to the goal
- Your focus and discipline
- The hours you are putting in
…Or will it only be success when you achieve the goal?
Please share: How do you define success?
- Are you celebrating what you are successful at?
- Are you thankful for what you are learning?
- Are you so obsessed with what you are trying to achieve that you aren’t enjoying what is?
